Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising

Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is a town-building action RPG set in the same world as Eiyuden Chronicle. It weaves together the pre-war tales of various characters who will eventually become your companions in the Eiyuden Chronicle.

The game will introduce a portion of Eiyuden Chronicle’s cast of characters in an original story with thrilling action and engaging town-building elements. There might even be some small perks for players that link the game with Eiyuden Chronicle.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising combines a thrilling adventure through ancient ruins with the tale of one town’s rise from the ashes.

Drawn by lenses and other treasure in the nearby Runebarrows, heroes learn that the town is struggling to rebuild after an earthquake and decide to help. Along the way, they’ll resolve disputes between eager adventurers and wary locals who don’t think the Barrows should be disturbed. And they’ll learn more about each other’s reasons for seeking treasure, deepening their bonds in the process.

As you will learn, these Runebarrows hide a great secret that has fateful implications for one of the characters. What begins as a simple treasure hunt turns into a dark conspiracy that will shake the world and plant seeds that carry over into the main story of Eiyuden Chronicle.

The trailer focuses on the action aspects of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, but the developers did outline the connections between this title and the main game, Hundred Heroes. At least seven characters from that game will make appearances in Rising. And all three heroes from Rising will show up in Hundred Heroes. References to a “conspiracy under the surface” came up more than once during this conversation, so the stories of the two games are definitely intertwined.

The developers hope that Rising will appeal to both action game fans and RPG fans, with Murayama adding that he hopes this spinoff of Hundred Heroes will “fill the gap” between now and that highly anticipated game’s 2023 release.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is scheduled for a simultaneous Spring 2022 release on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox X|S and One, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Nintendo Switch.
